We are Streatham's well-kept secret - a friendly, social tennis club set among houses between the High Road and Tooting Bec Common.

What's happening

OPEN DAY!

We are throwing open our doors on Saturday 28 April from 2pm until 5pm when visitors are welcome to come in and look around our club and to try our tennis courts.

Our Head Pro Karin and her team of coaches, Lucia and Justin will be on hand to offer free advice on your game and to discuss membership of our club.

You will also be able to enjoy a cup of tea (or coffee) and cakes during the afternoon or a drink from the bar.

It's a great way to check out if this is the club for you!

Tennis is a family game so why not dust off that racket, collect the kids and come along?.

Where we are

Located a short walk from the Streatham High Road and Streatham Hill Station, Woodfield Grove Tennis Club is tucked away down a private footpath.

We may be hard to find so look for the sign that marks the secure entry gate and ring the bell!

By car, approach from Woodfield Avenue. Street parking is available.

Match Play

The Club fields teams in the Surrey Leagues and Knockout competitions as well as in other local events such as the Streatham Cup and the Millennium Cup.

Currently there are two men’s teams, one ladies’ team and two mixed teams competing for honours with some considerable success for a small club.

An annual Summer Tournament, Box Leagues and a Winter Mixed Handicap provide plenty of competitive opportunities for all, with summer Finals Day providing a high spot in the calendar when lunch and tea are served.

Membership is great value - invest in your health!

Why not join for the full year at just £4.80 a week? That's only £1.60 if you play three times a week...

We make it easy for you by offering quarterly standing order payment via your bank.

We have an excellent coaching team ready to help individuals, groups and youngsters.

All our coaches are fully qualified and hold current CRB checks.

They are chosen as much for their coaching abilities as for their communication skills and enthusiastic natures and offer a great junior programme as well as adult lessons.

Sunday Pay-&-Play

If you'd like to ease your way back into things gently, sign up for a Pay-&-Play session on Sunday afternoons from 2.30 - 3.30pm and participate in some social tennis with coaching for £7 per session of 1 hour each, followed by social tennis.

Social

The club hosts social gatherings from time to time, including theme dinners, quiz nights and Karaoke as well as an annual Christmas Party and Club Finals Day.

Members also can join in monthly Bridge Drives and weekly teaching courses, while a Chess group meets regularly at the club.

There is a licensed bar and Wi-Fi available, while hot beverages can be purchased all day from a vending machine in the kitchen that offers a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks.
